Meh, no line up confirmed, I wouldn’t even think about buying a ticket until I knew who was playing.

It's not about the line up surely? I go for the crack but also I stumble on great bands that aren't on the main stages. I love the whole experience. Every year I find something new :)

That's a long answer, to keep it short, it's not really my thing....
The first time I went, I was a punter. There were 20,000 of us. It was a CND festival, it felt good, it was 1983.

  • My favourite week of the year. There is nowhere that compares to it. No ticket so far, fingers crossed again in April.

  • I first went in 1984. Tickets were £14. I remember the furore when the tickets for '85 were announced at £17.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

Never fancied it. Too many Guardian-reading show offs stroking their beards and eulogising how wonderful the experience is.

I can’t fathom the idea of committing before you know who’s actually going to be playing.  I guess you just roll the dice, pray it’s not going to be someone dreadful, and flip them if it turns out to be a terrible lineup.

I'd say the seventh circle of hell is a fair comparison.

Nuke the place from orbit, its the only way to be sure.

Hmmm I'm not sure you guys are getting the gist of it all. It really is the experience rather than just the line up. I'm not a guardian reader by the way lol
