Haven’t watched that yet but how many people guessed there would be a Grand Canyon Delay at some point!

Although not winning my favourite name for a new delay pedal, that goes to the Bondi Effects Art Van Delay ( well, it’s a brilliant name if you watch Seinfeld ).

    "I like Art Vandelay."
    "Art Vandelay?"
"He's an obscure writer. Beatnik. From the village."
    "What's he written?"

EHX are on a roll the past 5-6 years. Constantly releasing new cool pedals and usually available within a week or so.

Nearly sold it to me with Crimson alone. Jesus, I want my Jazz Chorus back...

Sounds great. I had been coveting an Afterneath but this...may be more useful..

I do like the creativity of EHX pedals, esp the loopers.

Keen to know now how these perform

The little one is great, if a bit fiddly when going back and forth on the secondary settings - I'll be getting the big one soon. A hell of a lot in one pedal. Bill Ruppert does great demos - two Crimson things there!

Looks excellent but I won't be getting one. I prefer simple pedals that nail one sound. EHX make great stuff though, really impressed with their output the past few years - constantly creative.

I watched that clip yesterday, lot of fun to be had although it would be a lot of knob twiddling in a live situation.

Looks like they've expanded it in exactly the right way with all the secondary functions brought up top. The small one is great - never been off my board since I bought it nearly 2 years ago.

Well, mine has arrived today so these are very early thoughts...

It is much smaller than it looks, and is incredible fun ! Just lost an hour trying settings...

    Some thoughts;

1.) Sounds great - most of the settings are surprisingly good

2.) The looper is superb, and you can change any delay setting as required.

3.) Negatives - writing is small too, and it adds that little bit of hiss that ALL EHX seem to add.

4.) It fits my board space like a dream !!

5.) Clearly designed by a creative with a 'can-do' attitude. Superb.

How does the drum delay sound? That's the new option vs the small model. If it's really good that might swing it for me...

@Wazmeister.. since you have a Time Line what does the Canyon do extra ? Doesn't look any simpler to use.
You must be a committed delay addict !

    Ha ! True enough...

The Grand Canyon does add extra creativity, and you can change delays over the looper.

Sadly, as usual with my EHX experiences, it really does add noise to my rig.  And I dont introduce anything that adds noise... may have to go back :(

Got mine a couple of months back and absolutely love it. Using it with a Digitech FS3X footswitch and it's a piece of piss going through the presets. Trouble is you'll have to bend down and look at what each setting the selected delay is on as the writing is tiny. However, saving and loading presets is an absolute doddle. I hated the Reverb mode at first but after some tweaking I may stick with it.
