Any Red Llama users here?

Everything I read about this pedal suggests I'll like it but never heard one in person.

What's it like into a clean amp? Any other thoughts or comments?

I built a clone , really impressed , to me it seems quite a neutral pedal that stacks really well into others .

Yeah great pedals, really meaty and I always used mine into a fender supersonic clean - way huge don't make bad pedals

Yep, love it.  Other drives have come and gone, but the Llama stays.  Especially great into a clean/edgy Vox as a fuzzy drive with the gain set at 9 or 10 o'clock.  Good dynamics/touch, and I personally like to stack all my other dirt into it, rather than the other way round.

  • I really liked the clone I had but lack of tone control meant it made its way off my board.

  • Picked one up earlier this week, pretty much love at first play. Only problem now is that I have too many pedals to fit on my board now. Oh oh.

Have you found you haven't noticed the missing tone knob ?

Never been desperately fussed about tone knobs on overdrives really. But the Red Llama seems pretty much bang on, doesn't need one IMO.

  • I had one when I had a Vox Ac30 and worked great into the amp set clean, and also when set dirty. Couldn't fault it. As @Travisthedog  Way Huge don't make bad pedals.
