Now that’s what a Tele should sound like! In my hands they sound like broken glass unfortunately.

Joking aside and answering properly, low gain mid hump dirt into a clean loud old fender with deep analogue delay, without the repeats being obvious, is my goal.

The repeat seems pretty obvious there...

For lead, Mick Ronson. He played a Les Paul custom through a 200w Marshall head that he called 'the pig'.
For rhythm, a tele on bridge pickup through a blackface. Lots of treble, not too much mids and lots of lows. Subtle amount of delay.

A mix of crystalline spiky post punk cleans followed by a thick strident hi gain crunch, followed by a kinda Gilmour/Billy Howerdel type lead sound.

My sound these days tends to be mainly humbuckers with some gain.

I shouldn’t really be posting this as it’s a private Soundcloud link - I’m working on friend’s project - this is the outro solo:

Are you offering? Right now what’s needed most is my friend deciding which chord structure he’s using in the verses, finishing the lyrics and a good male and female singer.... The first recording session I attended for this was in January. Aries people are not noted for their patience.... :)

Hi all new here but thought I'd share my sound.

My sound is a mixture of bitey cleans and octaved dirty naughtiness.      I play mainly instrumental math rock/prog music but my former band was an odd mix between punky/indie riffery with some sax thrown in for good measure.

I've been focusing on writing my own songs for months now and I'm finally getting to a stage of getting them recorded but it's a slow process haha!

Gear wise I'm running a Cort TC classic into a Hayden Mofo and some very lovely pedals.   I'm a bit of a cliche when it comes to the pedals I use at least in terms of the music I play but it's all good fun.

For my clean stuff as an example though pretty dated:

For far more recent riffs and fun I've yet to sit down and record them properly so:

Right now I'm achieving tonal nirvana with my @FelineGuitars LPJ through a 3 Leaf Wonderlove and into my LJ20 for a funked up porn soundtrack version of Chameleon.  Uh-huh baybeh.

Les Paul in jmp 2203 into greenbacks. Set tone controls to 12 o'clock and then adjust to suit the room and stage. Gain usual about 2 o clock. That's my clean. Guvnor or bad monkey for Rythym with gain set just about half way. Wah or phase 90 for leads. Tonally aiming for somewhere between the first and fourth trouble albums which are probably the best guitar tones in metal.
Used to crank the low end but realised over the years that cranking the low end doesn't make you heavier  - the bassist has the low end.
Pretty much every gig Brule has done I have had someone comment on my tone.
