I remember staring in the guitar shop window at 13 years old before I could play a note.  I'm not just drawn to guitars because I am a guitarist.  I am a guitarist because I am drawn to guitars.

They have an aesthetic appeal totally separate from musicality.  That's okay.  Accept it.

Yup...  All my personal guitars are all out on display in my front room.. I really do like looking at them as much as I do playing them..

In fact there was a time I went a bit overboard and had like 9 guitars (all Gibson of course :) ) . I only have room to display so many and I absolutely hated having guitars in the bedroom in their cases doing nothing and where I couldn't see them..  Ive been down to four guitars now for many years and have very little urge to buy any more.  BUT I still love looking at stuff even if  I know I will never own them (and of course from a design view too its important to look at as much as you can).

Definitely. That's what is so great about them to me. They are a treat to both the eyes and the ears (maybe less so the ears when I'm playing ;) )

Wouldn’t mind working there. Sweeping, cleaning, making cups of coffee all day for sales staff etc etc - would all be worth it :)

The thing for me is where have those 50s minters been squirrelled away all these years? They look newer than new stuff :)

Seeing, owning or touching one 'special guitar' is very nice - But as and when you can see, touch, play, or own a 'gaggle of guitars' like at Norman's it means far more - Certainly wets the taste bud

I've seen collections in many formats - Some might have the finest examples of say 70's international coloured Strats - Not the greatest guitars to play, but when you see them so mint, with tags, case etc then you can admire the owners passion - So now convert this to a host of models from the golden era and you can only stand back and admire such a collection

Guitar porn can come in many formats - Cool collections like @HarrySeven or collections from the stars of top end models ie Joe Walsh, Billy G and Jo Bo etc

If you have the funds to build such a  collection and the passion for it, then I salute you - I'd rather look at such guitars then a monthly bank statement - More interest in the guitars then the bank statement

The vintage guitar market in the States is huge.

They also often buy and sell the same guitar again and again.

guessing a few will have come at one of the major USA vintage guitar shows - I've only been to one but what an experience - Guitar porn via a video clip is interesting, but at such a show you are closer to the action - The store I worked at during this time and we purchased about 25 pieces - Great fun doing so

Think Mike at ATB buys a good % of stock via similar shows
