If I was to see a listing i was interested in for £100 that accepted best offers, I would offer say £85 and leave it to the seller to accept or get back to me with a different price.
When I list I always set it to automatically reject the 'chancer' offers so I don't even get alerted to them.

What you are proposing would be the beginning of the end for the noble ebay empire. If the deal is brokered away from ebay, then I am afraid that I would have to report both buyer and seller to ebay for violation of their rules, and at the same time I would have to report anyone involved in the crowdfunding for the same reason. Rules is rules you know.
