Last year I bought this lovely guitar from a forum member.

You can check the original thread here: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/112200/sold-fs-ft-prs-mccarty-soapbar#latest

  • The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • I know you say you can’t justify 2 Prs but have a look at the Vela, completely different animals altogether.

Yes, Velas and Starlas are lovely, I just happen to have a Gretsch Power Jet that satisfies my needs for that type of sound. :)

@parker_knoll: Thanks for the new word of the day: clericofascists.  I admin, had to look it up in the dictionary. In general I think it's valid for all Eastern European countries, maybe it has something to do with the orthodox church.

There aren't so many xenophobes nowadays (Back in my day...).

And yeah, bump for the hangover soup. :)
