  • I'm on a total Teenage Fanclub trip right now. Fuelled by going to see them last night in Glasgow where they played all of Grand Prix and Songs From Northern Britain back to back, it was really bloody good...
Man that must have been a great gig. I’ve loved TFC since bandwagonesque came out but only seen them once. Real shame about Gerry leaving, sob.
Not going to lie, it was pretty special :D

This guy is probably one of the best on YouTube. Only 16k followers. His version of Brothers in Arms is awesome, but I like the casual walk in to a guitar shop and do this on this video.

@gringopig   What did you make of the Kurt Vile gig? First time I have been in SWG3, was worried when you said about the sound, but didn't find it too bad, considering the type of room it is. Really enjoyed the gig, some lovely guitar tones on display.

  • Also liking Kurt Vile's new album.

J Mascis' new album is excellent, some songs have that Dino Jr folky/rock vibe of Get me and Going Home. Acoustics with plenty of electric J solos, which I will never tire of. Drums on most of 'em. Sky is All We Had is my fave

Because I’m easily influenced this because it gets mentioned on That Pedal Show. Little bit of guitar effects history,

  • John Mayall ... again ... Moving On (I've got it on LP and CD - one of the few that I've got on both formats) ... Freddy Robinson is phenomenal

    Bonkers, but brilliant!

What's the opinions on how this would sound on a single guitar without a backing track?  I always thought this would be an electro/synthesiser kind of sound, but that band seem to be handling it well.

  • Cant stop playing Martin Millers cover of Reellin In The Years with Tom Quale on YouTube. Great band and Martin's a pretty good singer too.

    -yes.

Tim Wheeler's V is probably the single biggest reason why I picked up a guitar.
