If you want the non-MV plexi experience without needing a big room to play it I’m, what about pulling 2 (inside or outside pair) of the EL34s to bring down the headroom (remembering to drop the impedance, so run the amp at 8 ohms into a 16 ohm cab)!

combine that hat with a smaller dose of attenuation maybe?
    The answer was never 42 - it's 1/137 (..ish)

That works, but only gives a 3dB reduction which is not a lot really.

  • I've got a 100W SuperLead. It's ANIMAL. Haven't gigged it in years (used to get told to turn it down even when using a 45W Plexi). Great for recording though with an SE100.
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
