They both do. But mainly JG. And Thom can play a bit of lead too. At least he used to at school

Mainly Jonny. He is an absolutely epic guitarist.

Btw, liking the Scottish way of spelling the band's name....

  • definitely should be the name of a tribute band based north of the border....  like McTallica....and Mac Sabbath
    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

Most of the songs and solos i have been listening to sound very unconventional and off the wall.....little statements of their own type solos. I got to figuring they all sounded like the work of one man, hence the question

Whilst each of the guitarists does his share, Johnny's probably far more prominent on the first 3 albums (he does a lot more synth-based stuff after that, and less 'obvious' solos etc) - but he's heavily influenced by the Pixies, especially Joey Santiago - you can hear that in some of the stuff on the first three albums for sure. I'd argue Johnny is a more technically accomplished guitarist than Joey, but he's definitely heavily influenced by Joey's style and sound.
