Just having a conversation with Mrs tone1, when, and I’m not sure why/how, the topic of who you miss the most in the celebrity world came up......Mine is without doubt Sir Terry Wogan. Who’s yours? Yes, I’ve had a glass of Malbec tonight

Edited title to read a bit nicer :)

It would have been great to hear what Hendrix would have done with all the pedals around today

All the ones who killed themselves and others in crashes it appears..

Colin Mccrae, Ryan Dunn, Paul Walker.

Regardless of how they died and any stupidity, I miss those 3.

But its hard to miss any famous person really, its sad for sure but after my brother from another mother died at 26, lifes never been any fun.

  • Hard to say there are so many Jimi, Janis, Jim ... Paul Kossoff, John Lennon, John Bonham, Roy Buchanan, BB, John Lee Hooker, George Harrison and so many more have all died within my memory - many "before their time" but it was still sad to lose those who had a good innings.

Frank Zappa, would have been great to see him embrace technological innovation. He was always cutting edge in his production work. Also a much needed voice of sanity who wasnt afraid to rock the boat.

I guess that the death that shocked me most at the time was SRV. I think that he would have created some wonderful albums over the years.

Great call for Zappa though, a real thinker, marvellously complex music and a great advocate for true freedom of speech.

  • Not sure he would appreciate being calleda celebrity, but Christopher Hitchens wasa  magnificent thinker, writer and broadcaster. The world is poorer without his presence. I would have loved to see what he had to say about Trump.
