@John_P who did your head conversion? Looks tidy and more convenient than a combo! Wouldn't mind doing that with my Mini Jubilee.
It was roadkill cabs that made the box.  Nice work and very very cheap but I don’t think they are in business these days - he was having a break last time I checked.

Taken it off the market. It's too good. Dual Channel. 30w with 5w mode. FX loop. Creamback 75w in the back. Looks the absolute tits. Such enormous overkill for my living room.

My Trade Feedback Thread is here

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

I don't really have anything particularly special amp wise anymore, and nothing vintage.  But they all do particular jobs well enough.  As I'm not gigging at the moment and nowadays just tend to use my Tonelabs, I might sell one or two because some are just not being used.

How would you characterise Diezel gain? Marshally, Mesa'ish something else, or it's own thing?

It’s definitely got its roots in the Marshall type of gain but with a lot more thump and compression, the Einstein and VH4 especially, the Herbert and Hagen are a bit more modern sounding. One of the nice things about the VH4 is the level of versatility – it can get close to most things sound wise – and the clean and 2nd mid-gain channel is pretty special too. I know they are not known for that kind of stuff but those channels are stellar too.

@webrthomson, cheers, good to know. always been intrigued by Diezel. they seem to go for not outrageous money pre-owned.

Those or a Friedman, or some low end focussed Marshall rooted design feel like they'd blend well with what I have now.

Cantrell fan btw. He's just got crushing noise. Don't think he used a Diezel, but it seems like it's in the ballpark.

Very early Tone King Imperial (has 6 valves, rather than 5) No.11.  Just love this amp.

@tekbow the VH4 can get pretty close to the Cantrell type tones, he's mostly Bogner in the early days (Bogner modded marshall the "Snorkler mod", then the fish preamp) while later using Friedman modded marshalls (then the Friedman Marsha?) and now his Friedman signature. Honestly the Einstein I had for a while before the VH4 was probably closer as that was more Marshally, but they are both great :)
