No idea how much to ask for this if I sell, but looking to trade for Fender USA Jaguar or Jazzmaster

any ideas on price??

model is American Classic 010-4712-801

The Good: genuine Fender Strat made by USA Custom Shop

Ash body

AAA flamed maple neck

Gold hardware

White blonde finish

Sperzel trimlok tuners

LR Baggs X-Bridge

the bad: few dinks to paintwork

Has LR Baggs X-Bridge installed . Needs preamp but seems working

Tone controls currently have no effect

(Think middle one is the Acoustic bridge one, so won’t till working correctly )

No case, no CS certificate but has been registered with them

Hoping to get one when I get it verified

I’m in contact with original owner

  • Is the model an American Classic from the late 90s?

You’d get a lot more money for it if you fixed the issues and got a new trem arm and the COA. I think it will be difficult to sell, and you’d have to let it go very cheaply, with all those issues.

  • Just a guess, but no issues ones, similar model and era seem to get between 1600 and 1700 that's with case, coa and all original. So need to work back from those figures to allow for the issues

Confirmed as American Classic model number 0104712801
In that case, here are the original specs for that Guitar, and how it originally came...

    Spec.
Model Name: American Classic Stratocaster® (Gold Hardware)
    Model Number:  010-4712-(Color#)
Series: Custom Shop "Custom Classics" Series
Body: Alder (Ash with 801 Color)
Neck: Lightly Figured Hard Rock Maple
    Birdseyed Maple pn# (010-4712 ), (9.5” Radius/241 mm)
    No. of Frets: 22
    Scale Length: 25.5” (648 mm)
    Width @ Nut: 1.6875” (43 mm)
    Hardware: Gold
    Machine Heads: Fender Standard Gold
    Bridge: American Standard Gold
    Pickguard: White Pearloid
Pickups: Set of 3 Texas SpecialTM Single Coils
    Pickup Switching: 5 Position
Controls: Master Volume, Tone (Neck), Tone (Mid)

So it looks like the Bridge, Pickups, Pickguard and Tuners have all been changed, and the body routed for the fancy electrics, and the case and paperwork lost.

So essentially, the Neck and the routed body, tone knobs, Jack socket and neck plate are from the original guitar.

The spec matches 010-4712-801 in colour.
White blonde with brown plate. From the colour spec, I can’t see any model in white pearloid? The back plate is white.  I’ll ask the original owner what was changed. Pretty sure it’s only tuners and bridge that were added
for all I know he might have asked Fender to do those changes

Currently an un modded example on eBay...same colour spec, but with stock bridge and tuners..

I think you'd be looking at around a grand to £1,100 for it personally. Agree with previous post that you'd be better off modding it back.
