Clever. I remember when I was a kid doing something with a old portable old cassette recorders. Was my very first pedal lol..
You can get a really heavily overdriven and distorted sound from it. Cut the tape head off, and hook your guitar up to those wires. Output to your headphones or amp, making sure you turn the volume down on the cassette player first. Turn up as desired.
