Midi controller for switching keyboard settings

RolandRoland Frets: 8678
Our keyboard player has problems changing sounds between or during songs. (Can’t remember what the keyboard is, but can find out). He needs up to 12 different sounds to cover our repertoire. I could program an FCB1010 to do this, but it really needs to be something he can touch easily with his hand, rather than floor based.

There must be a midi pad which we can Velcro to the keyboard. Suggestions?

Does the keyboard not already have a display screen and Patch and Bank selector buttons?

Some Roland products permit the User to predetermine a string of Patches then, step through them sequentially with a simple remote latching foot switch.

You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

@Funkfingers The keyboard has selector buttons, but it takes him too long to put on his glasses and skim through 256 or so patches. What we want is a pad with a dozen buttons, each labelled with its sound, piano, strings, Hammond etc.

Morning star ? Has a screen too for labelling?

Or FCB and you push the buttons for him?

Does the keyboard have a USB socket? I’ve just checked, you can program a Korg  NanoPad to sent program changes. You would need a USB hub to connect the units together.
