For a while I've had some thoughts to do a run of guitars based on the popular late 1950s LP Junior Doublecut.

This started to take shape in my mind even more when we discussed the closure/sell off of Gordon Smith Guitars on this forum.

So I started to think about the specs to make some and would you believe what turned up......aselection of prime examples of the guitar in question.

So many of the questions that I would have can be answered by taking a close look at these babies

* In case you were wondering about the title - it's a song and can be found here:

And will it be available in tv yellow?

We were looking at seeing what we could do that would be affordable (by Feline Standards)

We considered a standard spec with an Oil fiinish and "standard hardware" for £1699
We were going to offer an upgraded package allowing for better bridge, tuners and choice of pickup for £1899

Finally there would be an upgraded & painted option - just like you would get if you had ordered one custom from us at about £2400

So how light/dark would these be with the oiled finish?
Also what's the standard and upgraded hardware?

I should point out that it is likely that I was going to opt for a Humbucker sized P90 - so  players could opt for a P90 or a Humbucker - and have the option to change their minds later and try other pickup options.

I supposed you couldn't do an aged Les Paul Special, preferably with Lollar P90's, in TV White could you?

For me there is something incredibly appealing about an instrument that looks fundamentally simple to the untrained eye (as in no flash inlays etc.) put together wonderfully. Although I find virtually everything you make mouthwatering these are really calling to me.

This one and it's sister guitar are both for customers.
I still am open to putting a HB sized P90 on the next ones ....unless I have customers wanting the regular P90 in which case we can do that .
This one and it's sister both have the hardware upgrade option with the Graphtech resomax bridge and Sperzel tuners.
