    Main is Guitar.

    In order of competency;
    Piano
    Bass
Drums - though this is very minimal competency, our drummer is teaching me at the moment.

Only ever gigged the guitar, but I've only played six gigs so far so think I can be forgiven. We have piano in some of our songs so that will be coming up soon!

    Guitar (Electric and acoustic)
    Bass
    Vocals
    Bouzouki
    Accordion
    Some keys
And it would appear the Guiro too as I was the only one who could play it on a session!

Cajon is the instrument I'd love to get under my belt.

No-one has mentioned skin flute, I see.
Apparently it's the only instrument that comes with it's own soothing linctus...  B-)

Main instrument is guitar, mostly electric with some acoustic.

In order of declining competence, I also play, or at least dabble in...

Bass (borderline crap, but they don't have frets, so that's a decent excuse).
Keyboards, mostly piano and organ, bit of mono synth (pretty crap).
Harmonica (pretty crap, although I can bend some notes).
    Tenor sax (crap).
    Clarinet (very crap).
Flute (even more crap, but sounds less offensive than clarinet).
Violin (fucking awful - I won't even inflict on myself, never mind some other sucker).

I don't really take them seriously compared to guitar. I think I realised that the dedication required to get to a good standard is beyond me now (in terms of whether I can be arsed). I'm quite happy just diddling about, picking out a few tunes or improvising. I find it quite interesting to take on a new instrument, but with the background of years of experience in music, rather than starting as a new musician. It's also enjoyable trying to play parts that I've written on the computer, not for the purpose of recording them, but just to play the real instrument that the part was written for.

I'm happy on keys as I started out playing keys before guitar. When I broke my hand a couple of years ago I switched to keys until my hand got better. I've done loads of gigs on bass but it's hard work, the notes are easier enough but my right hand tires on the faster stuff
I enjoy playing drums but never gigged as a drummer

I do a lot of gigs as a FOH sound engineer. I consider a modern desk an instrument, you learn it and you create a performance out of it

Bass. More than guitar at some times, including now.

Bass is my only other instrument and is actually my main instrument now since I've ended up bassing in a folk band. But I make sure I avoid Root / 5th / Root / 5th ... etc as much as possible.

Things I've tried to learn to play apart from guitar:

Bass.In a typical guitarist playing bass fashion, but it's useful and fun!

Harmonica. Specifically to play Heart of Gold and So Much Wine. I'd love to learn some blues bends playing.

Drums. I won a Roland electronic kit in a Sound On Sound Competition but eventually sold it as I didn't have the time or patience to learn much more than a 4/4 beat. I could get better results by programming them in Logic.

Stylophone. My brother-in-law bought me one as a joke, so I had to use it in a track. The 1970s resistors that set the note frequencies were all over the shop and even Logic's auto tune plug-in couldn't quite save it.

Charango. One of my favourite guitarists started a Bolivian folk band (he was from the Rhondda!) and started playing one of these little things and I was mesmerised by the sound. I've learnt a few chords but getting into the Latin American feel is quite hard.

Sax. Had lessons for years, gigged it plenty in a big band.

Done lots of singing as a front man too. I'd be quite happy to even put the bass aside and just sing.

As well as guitar I have played in front of people: drums (and cajon), bass and mandolin.

I own/can play a little piano/keys, uke, melodica and I also have a Xaphoon (a sort of cross between a sax and a recorder), though I can't get much more than the odd note out of it.

Did he stand behind you, holding your Digeridoo and saying 'can you see what it is yet'?
