My wife and daughter pretended that one of my daughters friends who was sleeping over at our house went missing in the night! 

In my sleep befuddled state I fell for it hook, line and sinker. 

Only went on for about 60 seconds as said girl was calmly sat at the breakfast table. Very nicely done tho. 

My revenge will be a year in the planning...

Years ago I was looking up something on Ceefax and there was a news story on the home page reporting that scientists had invented "Smellovision" and it was available to try just by sniffing the different coloured squares on the screen. I was out of the sofa and halfway across the sitting room when I vowed that, when I was older, I would refuse to pay the licence fee in revenge. 

(I do actually pay it, I softened over the years)

I was awoken at an ungodly hour as usual by our young son this morning, unaware of the date, so went and got him his breakfast then went back to bed but had a quick look at my phone before hand then went back into snooze mode.

After a while, I got up, went out into the work shop did a bit then came in as the wife had got up, checked on the mornings news and 'hilarious april fools gags' and was sorting out our breakfast.

I said, "HEY, I read this morning that they've only gone and found another chalk animal near the Uffington White Horse! It's in the shape of a Duck apparently".....

She looked at me for a moment and muttere ..... "You Tit".
