On Monday I interviewed for a role at a company that is a mere 8 miles from my house.
I got a full tour of the facility including their 5 room recording studio, which was a dream come true for me.
They are a company that makes studio products and mixing desks.

So I got the job and I start in a month.
I'll be supporting their studio products, doing documentation/how to videos/maintaining their online FAQ's and maintaining the recording studio spaces.

Really looking forward to it.

Nice one - congratulations on going for it in the first place. I'm wondering if at 40 it's too late to call time on the NHS and work my way up in studio production. Unfortunately Mr. Nationwide Building Society may not be that supportive :-(

Yes I'm sure it will take a bit of time to get to grips with everything but I'm interested in it.
Having access to some of the large format consoles is worth its weight in gold for me.
I've had a bit of time on SSL's but not enough to say I know them.
Now knowing them inside out is 'my thing'.
