Who uses the "Recent Discussions" view?

Click "Home" in the top left corner to display all the section headings.

Click the cogwheel next to the amps section.

Select "unhide".



And, as if by magic, amp threads are restored to your recent discussions view.

If they're all in a particular section @antifash, now you know that you have an option to avoid them ...

Always recent discussions view, as it seems to be the most practical way of seeing what has been posted when viewing on my phone.

@TTony no joy so I used www.thefretboard.co.uk?ShowAllCategories=true then it appeared and I could unhide

In the view where you see all the section headings, you see a black cogwheel icon between the section heading and the number of threads in that section. 
Click the cogwheel alongside the section that you don't want to see in Recent Discussions.
Select "Hide".

Now, whenever you're in Recent Discussions view, any threads from within the section that you've hidden will not be shown.

You can still see all the excluded threads from the main view as before. Does that work for you?

Yes, 95% of the time. Aside from SC, I rarely browse by category.

SC threads should be excluded from Recent Discussions by default.  You have to explicitly opt-in to have SC threads included in that view.

If you opt-out (ie select "Hide") for a section, then it stays excluded from Recent Discussions until you opt back in.

@TTony I don't seem to be able to find an option for including SC in my Recent Discussions.

(I also realise that I'm going in quite the opposite direction to the one you had in mind...)

It's my default. When I exhaust the first 5 pages I will then go to SC.

I never use Recent Discussions.  Not as a conscious choice, I've just always gone to the main homepage and looked what's going on in the different categories.  And I'm generally only looking in Guitar, Guitars £ and the Chat section.

Me too, and I rarely look at the OT threads it throws up. SC I only look at if something gets flagged, and then I usually ignore it unless there's illegal or offensive content.
