Here we have some quite old but good sounding A2 humbuckers.

The neck is uncovered  SOLD;



And the bridge is covered. I did it myself, it's grounded to the baseplate as it should be and a thin layer of silicone caulk was used to stop the cover going microphonic;



Both have plenty of wire length - easily enough to wire into my Explorer. Over the years (I got these in 2008) the polepieces have rusted up a little - moreso the bridge. I've kept them as is rather than polishing them up, for magical mojo reasons. 

Based in Birmingham, I'm thinking £40 each posted.

Is that 4-con + shield output cable original or did you fit it yourself?

It's original. The heat shrink was my doing, easy enough to remove if you want to access the coil tap!

Back to work and back to normal bump.

This was my bridge pickup in my main guitar for 9 years, I love the soft attack, big low end and upper harmonics that have that alnico rich-but-not-harsh feeling. Really invited you to dig into the strings, and never got boomy, icepicky or strident so I found that it always happily took whatever you played and turned it into something that hit the amp front end just right.

If I can get through the January got-no-money blues, I'll hold onto this.
