Our daughter in law gave birth to a little boy this morning, so we’re now grandparents. Dear god, I still feel 35 in my head!!
Mum lost nearly six pints of blood and had to have an emergency procedure to stabilise her pressures, but has come through ok and is doing well now. Makes you realise how lucky we are to live in modern times, she would have bled out and died without the quick intervention.
Anyway, we’ve been in to see the little fella already and he’s lovely. My wife has been bawling her eyes out most of the day: apparently this means she is very, very happy!

My (younger) brother is going to be a Grandad soon. I'm gonna hit him with some jibes I think!
Wows for the new addition.
(ps - there are lots of good ukuleles on the market these days you know!)
Hope all is okay with mum and son - best wishes
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
I'm 46 this year and wifey is 38, grandson is nearly 2 now.
A friend at work (39) has a 19 year old daughter and his wife has just had another kid 6 months ago.
63 is well old grandad!
I was 61 when our first grandchild arrived, so you're doing well! Wait until it's "Come on, Grandad, let's play football!"
Congrats btw
BTW tartan slippers are optional.
I need a drink......
Congratulations, being grandparents should be fun.
I'm 53 and not even a parent, let alone grandparent. I think I have given up on the idea...
Congratulations!
Have Saga holidays (or better yet, Shearings coach tours) started looking appealing yet?
