Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
Loved the original and have just listened to the John Lloyd program about the original series and the making of the new one, was on R4 at 8pm tonight.
'And another thing' was just utter crap.

Very happy with how they explained the ending of the series 5 radio series, glad it wasn't just ignored.
As a fan of the original two series, I wanted to like the Hexagonal Phase but it is not easy. It sounded like what it is - a pastiche, constructed from recycled Adams' ideas, almost entirely lacking his turn of phrase.
Adams killed off the characters at the end of "Mostly Harmless" for a reason. The 2004 BBC Radio adaptation chose to ignore this and substitute a *happy* ending. Not for the first time, in order to draw together all of the divergent/contradictory story lines, there has been a whole bunch of explaining.
