I bet you've never tried eating dog shit but I bet you've got strong opinions about whether its a goo idea.
You do know that dog poop isn't safe to eat, right?

Cheese with fruit in it is.

Medically that may be true...but clearly if you like that sort of thing you have issues of taste, low self esteem, and are generally tired of living. It's a matter of dignity.

Not a cheese eater but a spot of the aforementioned Cranberry dotted Wensleydale on a salty cracker/biscuit at Christmas was very nice.

Wensleydale+cranberry is miles better than plain wenselydale. Ergo cheese+fruit=ok

Not with ginger though. That's rank.

Well, I've nothing against pairing, say, a nice cheddar and a piece of apple at the eating stage. But I want that decision to be in my hands. And I don't want it to involve sodding cranberries.

Dogs eat it. They'll probably eat cheese with fruit in it as well. They're disgusting, I tell you!

Cheese should never be polluted by fruits, or any other foreign objects. It’s clearly a lame attempt by cheese producers to appeal to hipsters, tree-huggers, and the kind of coffuired middle-managers that populate LinkedIn.

If you want fruit, nuts, or cranberries with cheese, go and buy some to eat with it.

It does sell, and it is tasty..... I wholeheartedly disagree with you.
but it clearly doesn't sell in enough quantity, hence the piles of it left over.  I've not even tried it at someone else's buffet, let alone been tempted to buy it. That's because like a lot of other people (maybe even a majority) I think it's disgusting.
Why have an opinion.on food you haven't tried?

Anything with ginger, in any such quantity that it can actually be detected, is rank.

Same goes for dried fruit. Hence not keen on it being added to cheese. Gross.

Ginger is all right. In curries, oriental stir-fry, in ginger beer. But NOT in cheese!

Actually, I'm with Phil on ginger in cheese.

    But based on experience. ;)
