Cheese with bits of fruit in. Just why?

Medically that may be true...but clearly if you like that sort of thing you have issues of taste, low self esteem, and are generally tired of living. It's a matter of dignity.

Not a cheese eater but a spot of the aforementioned Cranberry dotted Wensleydale on a salty cracker/biscuit at Christmas was very nice.

Well, I've nothing against pairing, say, a nice cheddar and a piece of apple at the eating stage. But I want that decision to be in my hands. And I don't want it to involve sodding cranberries.

Cheese should never be polluted by fruits, or any other foreign objects. It’s clearly a lame attempt by cheese producers to appeal to hipsters, tree-huggers, and the kind of coffuired middle-managers that populate LinkedIn.

If you want fruit, nuts, or cranberries with cheese, go and buy some to eat with it.

Anything with ginger, in any such quantity that it can actually be detected, is rank.

Same goes for dried fruit. Hence not keen on it being added to cheese. Gross.

Ginger is all right. In curries, oriental stir-fry, in ginger beer. But NOT in cheese!

Cheese melts when you cook it. Anything that doesn't melt, has no business being in the cheese.
