WITHDRAWN 1983 Tokai

This is a 1983 Tokai strat copy, a maple-necked twin to the 1983 rosewood-necked one that I bought new. Lovely guitar fettled by one of our own luthiers when I got bling fever. Candy Apple Red body in VGC with just a few minor dings, maple neck with a sort-of-C profile.

OPTION 1: All gold hardware and a set of EMG DG-20 active pickups. Hipshot tremsetter in the cavity, Wilkinson trem, straploks, etc:



OPTION 2: reverted to how it left the Tokai factory, with all original pickups, electronics and hardware:



Price: £750 for the bling+EMGs or £500 for the Tokai original.

When you say "sort-of-C profile", is that C/D or C/V? Fat and rounded or thin and shallow?

Good question, It's most definitely not a V or soft-V. I've had a Tokai with one of those. This is rounded in profile, although not a big old D-profile. I can try to measure it, if it would help?
