SOLD - Les Paul Standard 2010 - Light Burst, w/ Suhr Aldrich Pickups

So I withdrew this from sale a couple of years back, but since I bought my Suhr Modern, this has started gathering dust, so I think I need to move it on to a new home where it'll be appreciated  - Plus I need to satisfy my telecaster craving.

I’m looking to move my Light Burst Les Paul Standard onto a new owner.  It’s a 2010 model, so although not particularly vintage, it was manufactured before Gibbo had a further lapse in quality (or starting dicking around with those crappy robotic tuners, etc).

 

It’s got some natural relic'ing going on (it's been gigged regularly - 200+ shows), so it’s not showroom condition, but the dings/marks are superficial only.  No structural damage or anything of the sort.

The pickups were changed out to a pair of Suhr Aldrich's, so this guitar can really scream, but cleans up to a beautiful soft crunch when you roll back the volume.

Nice, slim neck profile (asymmetrical), and the tuners are locking Grovers, which as you'd expect are super stable.

 

Case included obviously with all the candy and pickguard (never fitted).  

I have access to a warehouse full of guitar boxes and packing materials, so I can ship if needed (£20 with UPS), but collection would be my preferred option.   I'm also happy to meet somewhere in/around Herts/Beds (or will deliver within reason, if you bung me a few quid for diesel. 

Sale-wise, how does £1200 posted sound?

Been looking for one of these recently. Nice finish on that one. Can I ask - is that flamed pattern in the maple top, or is it a veneer overlay on top of the maple beneath ?

As far as I'm aware it's definitely a flamed top - I've not seen anything online that says the 2010 Standard had a veneer overlay - is that what Gibson are doing these days?

Must confess I don't know - the only experience I have on finishes is with the older Tokais, where the rule of thumb is that if you saw a decent flamed finish, it was either one of their high-end models, or a veneered top. I genuinely have no idea whether Gibson do something similar.

edit: and that is a cracker looking top btw, why I was asking

Emailed Gibson with my serial number and they've confirmed this is not a veneer.  It's a flamed maple cap
