    Jake's Toys, in Petersfield.

Looks a bit scruffy outside, but lovely inside.

We took my stepdaughter to the local toy shop yesterday to buy some Lego with her birthday money. She got a few bits, and while I was there I picked up the Lamborghini Countach and a little Jules Verne tribute set that I've not seen before.

That was a gift-with-purchase at Lego - wasn't meant to be sold. I really liked the teeny train.
Oh really? Cheeky fuckers, in that case! Still, I enjoyed building it and I like it so it’s all good :)
There are usually loads of GWP sets unopened on eBay, and they're not available to the 3rd party shops. I think that one took £120 of purchases...

Yep, Common Lizard & Common Adder or Viper. Lot of them about in the NE :+1:
Always though Adders were SW creatures. Heres another reptile shot:

No, my mate's elderly Jack Russell was bitten by an adder on his nose last year after disturbing it while doing clumsy snuffling dog stuff, it was touch & go for a few days until he pulled through.
Not saying this is a definitive article, but the distribution is widespread.

    Female Adder, I wouldn't want a bite from one but people rarely die due to them. Great pics @Kittyfrisk ;

We get adders around here in Kent apparently, though I’ve never seen one in the flesh so far. Our neighbour has a good sized meadow for a back garden and says he spots them fairly regularly, along with grass snakes and slow worms.

I’ve found a couple of these in our garden recently, great crested newts. (It was alive, it was just a cool spring day and he hadn’t warmed up properly yet).

I wasn't sure where to post this, but since this thread is the place for positive vibes...

Happy birthday to my dad, who would have been 90 today.

    I switched energy tariff.

    £80 a month less.

That's quite a bit of Lego.
    My sums were wrong.

    It's £140 a month less!

Sadly, it's still not much Lego.

With my daughter being away at uni I've been the only muso in the house most of the year, am working at home today and could just about make out the bassline to 'where is my mind' coming from somewhere upstairs. Made me very happy to hear someone playing an instrument in the house.  Even if it was a bass : )

However, please do not use the phrase 'holibobs' ever again, or I may need to break into my emergency assassination piggybank   >:)
