FT/FS - Gretsch Country Club 6196T

I love this guitar but I'm finding myself heading steadily down the acoustic route so, as part of that journey, I'm trimming the herd. This is a fabulous guitar that I'm in no hurry to say goodbye to. It has TV Jones T-Armond pickups that I think sound superb. I've also added the option of a Compton Bridge but the original Space Control is also included. The guitar is in great condition, with no issues. I'm based in Edinburgh and I'd rather work out some form of meeting rather than send by courier. If it hangs around forever, I might look at sending by courier at a later stage but, for now, it would have to be collected in person. That said, I'd be quite happy to travel a bit if need be.

I'm interested in trades or PX against a decent OM sized guitar. I've already got a very nice parlour and a good J45 that's great for recording but still feels a bit big when I'm playing it live, so something in between would be nice. Otherwise, it's for sale at £1800.

Thanks @TheMarlin. As some people on here might appreciate, I've really mixed feelings about letting it go. It's absolutely the nicest electric I've ever owned, so this is more than just selling a guitar - it's about me stepping back from being rock guitarist to being more of a singer/songwriter (albeit of dubious ability). So it marks a reluctant move from the days of 'foot on the monitor' rocking to thoughtful beard-stroking and strumming.

Cheers @musicman100 ; It's that old story... it won't break my heart if I can't find a decent trade or sale. I've got some other things I could sell locally and buy a cheaper OM and keep the Gretsch... wouldn't be a terrible result.

No worries @camf. I have two guitars incoming to replace the two I have for sale and then I am hanging up my guitar-buying boots. It's become too all-consuming. But it will be weird as hell not scanning around to see what's out there....

Bump... on the lookout for a nice acoustic. OM sized preferred but generally interested in nice Martins or Gibsons or whatever.

Any offers? Despite being too small, I’m also contemplating the charms of a SJ-200 or other high-end strummers. I’m happy driving a few hours for the right deal. Otherwise, it’s looking like I’ll have to resort to plan B...
