It's Mrs C's birthday today, but we both stopped celebrating getting older a while ago. It's pissing down with rain, and likely to do so all day so we can't lay out in the garden. There's shedloads of clearing up around the place to do. I defrosted the freezer yesterday, and there's a puddle of water underneath it this morning. Plus, we've got a wedding to go to this evening, and the final straw is that my mother's talking to me again.

So all-in-all it's going to be a bit of a shit day.

Not yet, but it'll no doubt happen at some point this afternoon. Probably while I'm trying to watch the F1 Qualifying, I'll no doubt hear the thud of something dropping off.

You two are not helping!

Next day Saturday delivery cost £10 ... only to find it's a company who have delivered to me before by turning up, shoving a card through next doors letter box and not once knocking - neighbor was confused as she'd been in all day as had I. They refused to believe me when I phoned to complain. And a quick google to find the Saturday delivery times shows more people complaining about them than anything else
