But if you don't like the blackstar sound, and it is distinctive, then you'd be better off sticking really.
Just had a quick scan through completed listings on Ebay. It seems the HT60 goes for about £375. The Hot Rod I was surprised to see had been selling for less, £260 in one instance, but around £300 mark. The newer Series iii models sell for more.
Might be worth you asking for some cash your way.
If you bought the Blackstar for the gainier sounds, i'd try a Hot Rod before you swap. The clean, just breaking up and OD sounds are great on the Hot Rod, but it's not really noted for it's distortion sounds.
Fancy something different and like you say the Fender will be easier to sell! It's either a mk1 or 2. Any ideas on identifying??

Do you know which Model/Mk Hot Rod it is and the colour and condition?
Your Blackstar is currently listed for £350, if you swapped it for the HRD you could easily shift the HRD for £350.
The likelihood is that it's a MKII. The MKII has a chrome control panel, whilst the MKIII has a black control panel.
