LOWDEN D10 DREADNOUGHT
REGARDED AS ONE OF THE RAREST PRODUCTION MODEL LOWDENS MADE IN IRELAND
Here's a guitar you don't see every day - a Lowden Dreadnought! In an effort to attract the American market it is reported that George Lowden decided that he should build a Dreadnought - these were built in a handful of specifications in limited numbers in the late 90's / early 2000's
This fine example dates from 2001 and is complete with Lowden branded Hiscox and paperwork. The guitar is VERY well set-up and has a unique sound - definitively "dred" but with all the sweetness and voicing that Lowden have become synonymous with. Beautiful warmth of tone from the mahogany and cedar top and an aesthetic simplicity combine to make a truly wonderful guitar
The guitar has been very well cared for - showing just some very very small marks to the cedar top. It has never been fitted with a pickup and thus is just as it left the factory in Co. Down in terms of specification.
