If you ever see one that's 'old student bass amp' price, rather than 'handwired vintage 6v6 amp' price, you have to grab it.

There is one on ebay. Not sure what the going rate is but seems a reasonable price for a vintage fender.

Bump. I did end up getting hold of a Musicmaster amp but now bumping for a Silverface Fender Champ/Vibro champ.

Hi Dan, there is a silverface champ on gumtree in Brighton for a stupidly low price.  I considered it before buying back my 79 champ.  I paid more for my old amp as I'm not 100% sure about the gumtree one, I think it's the wrong logo for a Champ but if you can get to Brighton to check it out might be fine.

Ah yes the tweed covered Champion 600? Sure it sounds great but really after an old silverface.

Ah thanks for letting me know. I did end up purchasing a small Vox combo but I'll definitely keep an eye on your vibro champ. Looks lovely!
