Welcome to both @Legionreturns and @roberty ;, who have cunningly handed some dosh over to the Great Treasurer, in return for the honourable privilege of playing guitar with @Brocco

Unfortunately my drummer friend can't do it; when I first asked him it was going to be in May, and he can't do the new date in June. I have also massively ballsed up and almost certainly won't be able to come myself...we were offered free tickets to see Metallica in Ireland and accepted gratefully - without noticing the date, which is of course 8th June, and it's now looking like we're planning it into a week away. I hadn't put it in the calendar. Really sorry - I will definitely make sure I attend the next one, and will get onto booking the next smaller jam in Cheltenham.

I can say with some confidence that Audrey ( @Route66 ) won't be joining us.

There's too much going on here that month, she has something up here to attend with ex-clubbing friends and as I'm travelling with @Legionreturns, she said to go and enjoy myself and she'll catch the next Jam down the line.

So I'll be there with Chris for the day and helping in whatever way I can.

  • Have we actually got anywhere near covering costs yet? This looks very under subscribed at the moment

The cost is approx £560 (which includes an allowance for a drummer, gives us a studio with engineer, two rehearsal rooms and a chill out space). We therefore need a minimum of 21 paying attendees.

At this point we have 9 confirmed attendees, 6 of whom have paid. My guess is that 5 of us who are currently only listed as organisers will also want to participate in the main room sessions and would therefore pay subs (@Alnico, @dazzajl, @fandango, @Funkfingers and myself), so that gives us 14 people, 7 short of what we need.

Our fallback would be to adjust the booking so we have less rooms and therefore need fewer attendees. The minimum cost (studio+rehearsal room+drummer) is likely to be circa £425, which would be covered by 16 paying attendees.

  • @Brocco if the recording element is expensive I could always bring my R16 and handle recording. 8 track in, so we can mix and master afterwards.

Morning chaps, its water rats in woking on saturday.  After last years, which was my first ever jam, I was full of beans and raring to jam again - might be worth sticking a note on the water rats threads on next week and catch some enthusiasm!
