What is up with xbrooom's account?

In the vein of this old thread

I have again noticed an oddity. confounded

An x in front of a username usually denotes a user who has left.

@TTony made this comment indicating that @brooom wouldn't be coming back:

Yet @xbrooom is posting again. There has been nothing in the Admin / Mod Interventions thread about this, and it's been updated several times since the account resumed posting in February...

With Easter approaching, I would like to ask for an eggsplanation.

@Sesh It certainly looks like it, doesn't it? I was under the impression that once the Mods put an x in front of your user name, the door hit you on the arse on your way out with your keys still inside...

It was a misunderstanding. And it shouldn’t have been changed to an “x” account.

We have had lengthy discussions with the man himself and have decided he can carry on as “brooom”

I’m closing this thread now as there’s nowt else to say ;)
