    Yeeeeeeeah! Amazing artist.

    All being well I'm going to see him in Leamington Spa on 4th July. I have to be on stage in a field in Bangor at 12:00 the day after, so meticulous logistics will be required. :D

    If I still had long hair, I'd currently look like Dev from the SYL era... not a good look for me.

    Can't believe it's taken me so long to get in to his solo stuff after listening to Vai's Sex & Religion, I can now play an acoustic version of Supercrush!  :D

    Colour me jelly.

    I saw his acoustic show at the Borderline a couple of years ago which was amazing (met him and got his autograph afterwards!) but watching some live clips from By A Thread makes me think I'd really love to see one of his big rock shows.

    You definitely do @Bucket! I was fortunate enough to see him in Manchester (with Fear Factory) and Brixton (with Meshuggah). A choir was involved at the Brixton show...

     

    On another note, Meshuggah are not really my thing but they are spectacularly good live.

    He's one of those people who seem to have a Superhuman ability. How can you sing beautifully and clear, then scream like a V8, then back to soft and gentle?

    Most people trying this would be picking their larynx up off the floor.

    Seem's to be a really likeable guy too. His tour of the Framus factory on Youtube was funny and informative.

    @ElectroDan He's a very nice chap, I've met him (got his autograph). He did a little acoustic show at the Borderline, and stayed behind afterwards and met pretty much everyone who came - including my friend, his dad and I (all three of us huge fans - said mate being the guy who introduced me to his music at first). We were near the back of the line but he didn't seem like he was anxious to get away or anything, happily chatted to all three of us, signed autographs and did photos. He's a very normal, likeable guy.

    And one of the most remarkably talented musicians in the whole of the rock scene.
