Line-level clean boost

I may well be in need of a reasonably transparent clean boost which can handle line-level input and be able to provide a cut as well as a boost - any ideas?

It doesn't even have to be a pedal, but it has to be able to fit on a pedalboard.

Aye, but I want to find one which can handle line-level signals without clipping or squashing it.

The MC401 doesn't do line level, I know because I nearly broke one trying!

Have a look a the Rothwell F1 or Atomic. I used to run one through an FX loop and it worked a treat. Gives you the option to dial in a little more top end if it gets rolled off too.

Was it a line-level effects loop? A lot of them are instrument-level these days.

It was through a Budda Superdrive which I believe is line level. I have to have line level set on the Timefactor for it to sound right.

Suhr ISOBoost is a good option too.

I had issues with this using the Soldano loop. In the end I went for a low budget volume-cut pedal, entirely transparent and passive, the only thing that requires power is the led (but you don't need this really). When turned on, it reduces your signal down with a level control on the top, kick the pedal off and get a boost.
