my band has decided to cover it and since it has a trem effect in it it has forced me to use my GT-100..since I'm not into digital dirt/amp sims live I have got my Jekyll n Hyde pedal in its loop. But thinking of a decent tremolo pedal to allow my pedal board back into regular live useage. (not that the FX in the GT-100 are particularly bad). What you suggest? Obvious first thoughts go to the Boss TR-2. Hmmm........

    The AdrenaLinn website says so.

I think that older TR2s had a bit of a volume drop when activated, apparently they've sorted it on later ones. That said, IME an EHX Pulsar would do you the job nicely.

these are dirt cheap and sound pretty good, the sound level matches well and will do a square wave

The Boss Slicer gets extremely close so worth a try.

Any deep tremolo will allow you to do that thing - I remember having fun with that riff using the built-in tremolo on my AC30CC. Tap tempo might be handy in a live setting.

Closest thing to a Linn Adrenaline for less money is the M-audio Blackbox, you can pick one up for about £50 off the bay.

It's the Linn without the midi functions but a better screen.
A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

Boss PN2 does that on-off-on-off chop better than the TR2 or Pulsar. But it's not as cheap as this!

Waiting for the dentist, googling all this. Seems to be some argument that they wanted to use the AdrenaLinn but had problems with it and used an effect in pro tools.
Surprisingly popular search on Google and every tremolo pedal ever made seems to get mentioned somewhere.

I love the Adrenalinn and it has some unique fx in it. This isn't one. You can get that sound with heaps of trems and the mix turned right up

I just had a quick listen to the tune on youtube. I'm sure my Nobles Tremolo could handle a pretty close approximation to that.

I've had to relisten to this a few times, but that's a sequenced trem (there are different volume drops) that's synch'd to the rhythm or the guitar picking.

You can "ballpark" it with a choppy trem like the tuna-melt, sure... noone's going to mind, but that wasn't how I interpreted the OP's question ;)

Agree with above, it's not just a straight up tremolo effect but.........

I like and will be getting soon a MOOER Trelicopter.

For cheapness the Marshall Vibra-trem is good. Mine was £20 off evil bay.

Suhr Jackrabbit would be ideal but I'm not sure about prices

The VibraTrem doesn't do a very effective 'chop'. It's alright for a bit of throb, but it's a bit polite.

In theory you can increase the chop of this ( and any other tremolo I guess) by putting it in the loop rather than front of amp. Tremolo can get pretty hidden by distortion so unless you have a super clean tone or only want a gentle tremolo effect than FX loop may be the way to go anyway.

This is true, but I found that even direct into a desk it didn't quite cut the mustard. Just my preference of course.
