Had my first rehearsal with the zakk wylde overdrive on my board last night.

Its bloody good! Im using it to just add more gain to my dsl100, kinda like a pseudo third channel for the tight palm mutes. Sounds better than the ts9 for this application.
Its good on the clean channel too, it does venture into distortion territory and its pretty good at that too.

Worth checking out despite the endorsement links to a total nugget.

He's not a nugget, but I agree - I found I preferred the sound of an sd-1 into a gained up amp over a tubescreamer, and that is based on a sd-1 I think.

AFAIK it is SD-1 based circuitry, I used to use it as a boost into a DSL 401. It is a very underrated pedal.

Apparently it is pretty similar to an SD1. I've never compared them personally but I do like the SD1 a lot. It seems to get overlooked these days with the number of cheap TS clones on the market.

And if he is, he's a pretty great guitarist of a nugget I love most bls stuff, the video for 'overlord' is good fun, though possibly slightly inspired by the video from 'second sucks'.

yeah it's based on an sd1, far as i'm aware. i like an sd1 too.
