Its Back!!…and gone again!!! NOW SOLD/TRADED

This has been out on loan to a friend and has now come home..

Selling my '79 Pro Deluxe.

Its in WELL PLAYED condition - no breaks, just lots of genuine playing wear/mojo- neck is down to the wood, plenty of knocks (nothing nasty) on and around the body with a few bits worn through the nitro - the type of thing we pay a premium for from the Custom Shop!!!! - its a real cool looking guitar and with the ebony board makes it a little bit different from the run of the mill LP's. I reckon this could tell a story or 2 - it came from a session guy in Bristol who had owned it for many many years and under the backplate there is mention of a luthier from Australia - so it definitely done some miles.

I think its had a refret (a good one as the nibs have been retained) - plenty of life left.

The pots which I thought were non-original are actually the originals (dates etc match era), it currently has a noiseless Seymour Duncan P90 in the bridge (original in case)

Original Case (not chainsaw)which again is in road-worn condition - it done its job and still is!!!

Plays really well, been setup and maintained by a local luthier, its just something that I can't see myself needing or using in anger..

These are currently fetching upwards of 2.5k from what I can see, taking the condition into consideration, I'm looking at offers in the region of over 2k for this - trades, yes, I am interested in PRS, TA, Suhr - most non-pointy things, no amps though.

Based Swansea-ish and not sure if I would courier it, so meet or if buyer wants to handle and take responsibility for courier/breaks etc then I do have a decent box here and happy to pack it up.

I'll get some more pics up over the next few days.

Weight I think is around the 9.5 lbs mark, it’s not light, but it’s not back breaking either

Looks lovely! What’s the neck like on it? I’d seen slim mentioned after a quick Google of this model but that was very vague!

Great guitars these are with a real old school mojo vibe. I, myself own this exact same model, a 1979 too. Mine's a boat anchor but it sustains for ever and those P90s are powerful gnarly beasts. The ebony fingerboard on these models is lush too.
    GLWTS.
