I have two search engines. On google chrome The Fretboard now appears with a blsck background instead of white. What on Earth have I done and how can I rectify it.

What do you mean by "two search engines"?

In any case, you can edit your profile on here and, at the bottom, choose anything other than "inverted". Save it, and that should be it.

Ooohhh. I’ve just switched TO inverted. It’s quite nice.

I tend to use "Dark", because it's easier on the eyes.
