SOLD: Gibson L6-S Custom 1973 Black
What's Hot
£899
Elephant & Castle, London
Beautiful first year L6S with ebony fretboard and black finish. One of those '70s models that didn't take on with Les Paul fans but has subsequently found traction with a new generation of players.
-All original
-All maple body
-24 fret ebony fingerboard
-Thin nitro finish
-Rotomatic tuners
-Six way varitone selector: N&B series in phase, neck, N&B parallel in phase, N&B parallel out of phase with tone cap (makes it less quacky), Bridge, N&B series out of phase with tone cap
You can read lots more about these online including lots of old Boomers who hated them in 1973. It's a bright snappy guitar due to the all maple construction, very versatile, super low action and fast player. The Bill Lawrence "Superhumbucker" pickups are low wind high magnet meaning they have a high output without being overly middy.
Here's Bill Lawrence on the thinking behind the design:
http://www.billlawrence.com/Pages/L6S.htmEverything works, holds tuning really well, superfast player. The only downside, no original case. Perfect fitting Gibson gigbag provided which has worked well.
I will ship EU wide but collection preferred.
