Does it have to be “people food”..?

My take on the whole competition is that your entry can be anything that the theme makes you think of... so if this month the first thing that came into your head was Guns n Roses, then that’s absolutely fine. It’s all supposed to be a bit of fun; go for it!

Just checking. I have a range from vaguely in-theme to big cat literally halfway through eating gazelle in various levels of detail and gore... will process some and see how I feel.

 I may still post a photo of a cake

The giraffes actually haven't been processed at all yet. The others I was very diligent transferring and backing up and sorting each evening but the giraffe stuff was back in Nairobi - much more relaxed about the photography. Great trip though

Cheers chaps. It was a great trip. I have A LOT of photos. Currently around 65 marked as "proper keepers", about 10 I'm really properly proud of.

Thank you TPD. I did in fact convert it to B+W very soon after taking the shot but for this comp I thought colour, particularly the green of the soup, better suited the Appetite theme. FWIW here is the converted version (which would benefit from a little more work in post).

@Fretwired and @cj73 thanks for your encouraging comments. No, I didn't know the subject but I was fascinated by her and how she seemed to be quite content with her 'lunch for one'.

BTW that perspective is natural when you are 8'3" tall

It’s a thought, but as I dislike pea soup intensely I’m not sure I could bring myself to do that
