EDIT #4: Happily withdrawn yet again SOLD
EDIT #3: Yet again on sale
EDIT #2: Happily withdrawn again
EDIT: Reluctantly on sale againHere is one of my guitars, a Godin Core CT HB in Sunburst, which had the electronics changed by my trusted luthier. I am looking at buying a semi-hollow, so I need to sell my guitars to achieve that, if I wish to still be married. Semi-hollows trades considered.
Now the details. I changed the following:
- Seymour Duncan Jazz (SH-2n) instead of the stock Godin GHN1 (I include the old pickup)
- CTS mini-pots 500kΩ Audio Taper (mini-pots because of the space available in the cavity, but you can have the old pots)
- Orange Sprague Drops Capacitors 0.022μF (I will add the old caps on the PCB with the pot)
- SwitchCraft Toggle Switch (you can have the old switch, if you want, but it's dodgy)
- D'Addario NYXL1046 Regular Light Electric Guitar Strings
I have had this guitar for about 18 months, but I did not have time to play it much. The guitar has never been gigged, and has not left the household since new, other than for being taken to my trusted luthier (who is also a guitar technician), who set it up beautifully: frets levelled and dressed, intonation and action adjusted to perfection, and he was the one who performed the electronics upgrade.
The guitar is in excellent condition, with just minor usage marks that should be seen in the photos, but which could even be removed, I think, with a bit of polish. There are no marks that go through the lacquer.
The guitar also comes with:
- Godin Padded Gig Bad (see photos)
- Godin original scratch plate in black (with screws)
- Allen key for truss rod adjustments
- The original Godin GHN1 neck pickup
- The case of the Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup (now fitted to the guitar)
- The original switch that came with the guitar
I am based in Cambridgeshire, but I travel to Warwickshire on a weekly basis, so I am willing to meet with whomever might be interested in the guitar, within reason. I can get a car inverter and a small amp to try it out, if needed. You can also try it out at my place if you wish.
As I said, I am selling the guitar to finance a semi-hollow. There is nothing wrong with this guitar, it is delightful, but I tried one specific semi-hollow (I am not saying which, so as to not jinx it) and there is no civilised way of modifying my guitar to that level.
Any questions, do ask, please, including extra photos, if needed. Thanks for looking this far down!

One thing I noticed compared to the last time it was on sale—no idea when this came about—is this:
Good luck.
