This turned up today. It's nice, not played with it much but it feels solid and well made. Setup was a breeze.

I finished Fable 2. Some greatness, much clunk.

I'm now trying Tunic again, and getting on with it much better than the first time I tried. Changing the combat difficulty to "reduced" has helped - it's still challenging, but a bit less punishing.

Also the new free level for PowerWash Simulator 2 is very good. And Star Wars DLC on the way...

While I'm off recovering, I've finally got around to sinking more time into a few games:

    - Stalker 2; something finally clicked, got to the second region and now just got bored. The gunplay is pretty dire and it's just feeling like a chore now.

    - Deliverance kingdom Come 2; Nope, still boring. Feels like too much hard work - if I wanted a life simulator I'd turn off the PS5.

    - Astrobot; Loving it so far!

Planning on maybe trying Pragmata next week, and getting back into Hitman.

I quite like Deliverance, KC2 - it's quite long to get into but really advanced and pretty cool once it gets going... (bear in mind I'm not that far as barely had time to play it recently).

I think a major issue in it (like in quite a few games) is that if you haven't played it for a while, it's very very easy to forget all the intricacies of all the mechanics involved - which in turn makes it even more of a chore trying to enjoy it!

Oh funnily enough just giving Tunic a go myself. It’s charming but I’ve hit a bit of a wall trying to figure out what to do next. And yes, combat is a bit of a chore.

    Tunic is rather unguided.

Definitely try turning combat difficulty down. It's still not easy, but it feels a bit fairer.

I keep getting recommended Tunic when I look up stuff that's a bit like stuff I like. I may have to try it - no shame on going to easier modes here

Ha I could have had two. I didn't even realise they were available then saw a mention online. My wife didn't want one so I just ordered one for me!

I tried it out properly this weekend and like it. Feels a bit different to XBox controllers but in a good way. Doesn't feel heavy or too large, pleased with it.

I’m keeping my powder dry for the Steam Machine bundled with the controller. I have a huge Steam library but haven’t owned a proper PC in a long time. Can play some things on my Mac and on the Steam Deck, but whole load of games won’t work with either. Steam Machine sounds perfect for me.

I'd forgotten how good Hitman was. I hadn't even finished Hitman 1, so playing through from the very beginning... should keep me busy for a while!

I had a go at Forza Horizon 6.

It's better than 5. The driving is fine. But I just found it boring. I think it would have been better if they'd not tried to have any plot, because the plot is terrible.

Anyways, onto Fable 3, which I played, but so long ago that it's only dimly remembered.

I got Pragmata on Switch 2. It’s fun so far. I might put it on easy after a few more deaths but I’m having fun so far

I gave up on Tunic. A shame, but there was a point where you have to do a load of really hard fights in a row. I only made it through by turning "no fail" mode on, and I refuse to be punished by a game.

Reviews looked really good and I'm amazed how well it compares to other consoles graphically.
I may give it a go when I'm done with the current games (still rotating Bananza and BoTW on Switch and I have Portal games to play too as you all highly recommended them on here).

Anyone playing the new 007 game? Currently working through the intro and training, quite enjoyable so far

Yep I'm enjoying it so far.

Also keen on the new Yoshi thought will probably wait for a sale.

@wibble the reviews for 007 look genuinely brilliant so I'm keen, but no time for a while - maybe it'll get a discount before I get round to it, but I'm looking forward to it.
