Luna Abyss is excellent. Billed as a first person bullet-hell game, but there's a lot more exploring than fighting. Really weird game world, and it's not too hard - more about cunning than twitch response. Well worth a go.

Hints of H R Giger, Event Horizon, Nier, even Expedition 33 in the general look and style. Plays like a 1st person metrovaniod without the backtracking.

Wolverine looks so good and it's out just after my birthday (15 Sept)

New (ish) Rayman!! and it looks like a friggin' Pixar movie! (Heavy remake of Rayman Legends aka one of the best games ever made)

Tomb Raider pushed to early 27 (thanks GTA) but looks fabulous

There is a hiding from dinosaurs horror game coming from Annapurna which is *very* exciting because that's why dinosaur games should be

Silent Hill (Hull?) still looks creepy af, and ILL looks way creepier

Control Resonant is also nearly here! - 24 September! 

Marathon looks fun but my ping is shit so I don't do online, sadly

A new God of War game where you're the wife and it's more magicky and Brad Boimler is in it as a gelatinous cube  

Plus loads of other stuff I don't care so much about

Anyway looks like the next year or so is finally going to get a bunch of stuff that actually feels "next gen". It's only been 6 years!

I almost literally haven't played anything except Slay The Spire and Slay The Spire II in the last eighteen months...

The sheer depth and replayability is off the charts for me. I love it.

I never played the original DK games (only diddy Kong racing) on other platforms….i love it but fuck me, it’s hard.

the original DK Country on SNES is an all time great. I've read DKC2 is better but I never played it

DKC Returns on Switch is *brutal* but great fun.

Finished Luba Abyss; excellent to the end. 8.8 out of 7.4.

Also played Echo Generation 2, having enjoyed the first one. Voxel graphics, turn based combat, and they added mild deck building. Not very hard, quite enjoyable, utterly incomprehensible plot.
