For that sort of thing the Helix takes it I think. Just sounds a bit more natural than the other two.
I agree a physical unit is much more convenient, although it’s not too hard to get software latency down to imperceptible level these days.
For me there is one plugin that sounds and feels significantly better than Helix, and anything else in fact, and that’s Blue Cat audio Axiom / Destructor.
But it requires a very different approach to dialling in.
I still reach for my Helix stomp 99% of the time because of the physical controls and I can just plug in and not touch a mouse.
These Neural thingies do look really good.
Apparently 98% of the first batch went with 48 hours of launch.

This looks very much like a kickstarter at this point and these don't always end well.

Did Darkglass do things the old fashioned way where they build the product first, getting funding from themselves, banks and/or private equity firms, and the consumers buy the finished product without shouldering financial risk of the thing going to production ?
They certainly seem to be extremely good at marketing and hope it all works out, but I find the business model pretty questionable.

Came into work today, to find that the other guy I work with is one of the 1,000 people to have paid a deposit!
He was fairly excited about it on Friday, but didn't expect him to jump on it.
Chuffed, as this means I'll probably be able to blag a play around with it
