Which Velcro

Hi all!
Which brand of Velcro do you guys and gals use for your pedal boards?
Just moved over from the dark side of multi-effects unit to single pedals!

'Velcro' is a brand name, isn't it?

I've not had any problems using the 'hook and loop fastener' from Maplins.

The duel lock stuff from strings direct. You only need a small amount in the corner of each pedal. Sticks like the proverbial!!

I prefer the tonal properties of cable ties.

Fabric shop near my house. If you use a PedalTrain the 50mm stuff is what you want. I got a roll of hook & loop with my PT-Pro as well.

My mate used white velcro on his board thinking it would look cool and different and it just looks shit.

Yes this. Fixing pedals with cable ties creates a nylon based static charge that makes your pedals more powerful than you could possibly imagine. And hence better tone!

Don't forget to really make sure the pedal is clean where you're going to stick the Velcro. You need that join between the sticky back of the Velcro and the pedal to be strong otherwise you'll be pulling it off every time you move a pedal about.
