Strider Balance bikes are really good.
If I'm getting a scooter I'll always pay the extra and get a Micro. You can look online and see the pictures of kids with their teeth smashed out from where the wheels let go on the shitty cheap ones.
I ended up buying a SH Isla as a proper bike for my girls as the cheap ones were all total crap.
There are companies which rent Frog bikes and swap them for free once the kid grows out of them.
Yup. We were cheapskates.
Puky Balance bikes- decent bearings and solid wheels. Replacing the inner on a child's bike is a pain.
Isla bikes are ridiculously expensive, but hold their value incredibly well and are worth the money.
It's worth Gumtree hunting for these things- people buy them with the best intentions, the kids isn't interested etc... You get an almost new thing for not much money.
I think that's why we have safety standards.
Did think about 2nd hand, but in current climate thought it best not to.
oh.
