Posting YouTube clips via iOS

Apologies if this has been covered, I did do a search and came up with nothing relevant so I hope nobody minds me asking.
When using my Mac at home or PC at work copying a YouTube link couldn’t be easier; paste the URL into the forum editor and the video automatically embeds. Simples!
However. When using my iPhone, even if I’m viewing the full desktop site, YouTube links never embed, they just render as a URL.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to do this with the same result as if I was using a desktop machine?
