I use one to get the sounds of my amps as I hear them when I play them live on recordings and love the results. Used a Palmer PDI-03 before but in a comparison between my live amp sound and what was recorded through the Palmer vs the captor (with a Wall of Sound cab using the same speakers as my amps) was a no contest. The in-built speaker sim on the captor is worse than the Palmer though, so definitely use the Wall of Sound cabs.

    They're brilliant. Get one.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.

  • I can vouch for these, great bits of kit. I used one for ages to integrate my amp head into Helix for home use.

Good speaker sims or IRs are helpful, I wasn't over keen on the inbuilt speaker sim on the Captor.

As an attenuator they are a bit rubbish, as a load box in to IRs they sound great
